New Resource: BuildingMovementDetroit.org!

Our partners in Detroit have recently launched an exciting new resource for the progressive movement in the city- BuildingMovementDetroit.org.  this new web portal seeks not only to capture all of the great work that the BMP Detroit team is doing, but also serves as a communal landing page for other organizations and activists who are working to build a movement for social change in Detroit.

Amongst various updates from BMP and partner organizations, you’ll also find resources such as videos of key neighborhood gatherings (also on BMP Detroit’s new YouTube Channel), a calendar of community events, project-based resources and information, and info-graphics and maps that the group is using to illustrate the progressive movement in the city.  Organizers have also set up an integrated social media presence on Facebook and Twitter to keep followers informed of new posts on the site, as well as live updates from the field.

Ideally, this web space will serve as a communal gathering point for organizations, activists, and residents across the city to both inform the community of their own work and gather resources that they find helpful for advancing the movement.  As groups and individuals involved continue to populate the site, it will begin to convey a common and united narrative for the progressive social change work in the city.  Because so many people will be contributing, BuildingMovementDetroit.org will continue to change and grow, so check back often for updates!
